About Wood Industries

The name Wood Industry,s has been associated with timber processing for over 50 years.

Commencing business in 1965, Wood Industries owned and operated a sawmill and wood dowell manufacturing facility in Beenleigh, Queensland, Australia.

During the 1970s sawmilling continued in Maryborough Qld, wher focus changed to milling and processing of Queensland Hoop Pine plantation timber. These plantations becoming available for harvest due to the forethought of the Queensland Forest Service, in planting and managing this unique Australian species, some 40 years prior to final harvest. It is this Hoop Pine that gives character to the Wooden serving trays

Wood Industries now engages in the manufacture of laminated pine products specializing in wooden serving trays, recovering select grade material achieved by the finger jointing process, producing quality hand made wooden products that are crafted from sustainably managed Australian plantations where everything from tree-felling and sawmilling of logs to the dry mill and finger jointing of board product is completed  in Australia.

All our products are Australian made from sustainably grown Australian plantation pine.
